Myofascial Release: The Fascia System
The fascia system is a unique, continuous system of tissue that covers and penetrates every part of the human body. From bones and muscles, to nerves and veins, even your organs and brain, from the top of your head to the tip of your toes, fascia is everywhere. Fascia works as one system to connect, protect, and support every part of the body. When one part becomes inflamed or restricted, it affects the rest. Many times the restrictions held in the fascial system are the cause/s of limited mobility and increased pain and dysfunction. Fascial restrictions place crushing pressure on nerves, blood vessels, joints, and other pain sensitive structures in the body.
Our philosophy is to utilize the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release approach (MFR), a manual therapy, slightly different than massage, using no lotions or creams. Connecting deeply with your fascia without using any great measure of force, I use sustained traction and/or compression holds that will last a minimum of 3 minutes and can go up to as long as 5 plus minutes, these type of holds allow for deep levels of restriction release that provide the opportunity to heal long-term or chronic issues.
Myofascial Release Therapy will help you with various issues, including migraines, back pain, Plantar Fasciitis, Sciatica, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, abdominal discomfort or the chronic problems associated with Fibromyalgia.
We will begin your MFR treatment with an interview, finding out which issues you would like to address and how the symptoms present themselves in your body. Afterwards, you will receive a full body evaluation while standing, then lying face up on the treatment table. We will then discuss your goals in receiving treatment and create a specific plan to treat you based on your unique situation.
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."

Myofascial Release Therapy
By engaging the connective tissues, or the body's fascial system, through sustained traction and compression, we begin to work towards long term healing and pain relief.
Integrative Massage Therapy
This full body massage is perfect for the person who wants to escape from every day stress. By utilizing broad, deep strokes, the muscles begin to relax and release built up tension.
